BAILEY'S BLESSING!

We finally had Bailey's blessing this Sunday. Diane (Billy's mom) came down from Utah and Andrew and Tina and the kids came out from Henderson. We even got my sister and Scotty and Hunter to come. Bailey was the perfect little girl and Billy did a great job on her blessing. :)

T-BALL!

With having a baby and trying to catch up on showing her off, I have totally neglected showing off Logan. This past spring, he had his first season of tball. We were so excited that he wanted to play because if you know Billy and I, we both LOVE baseball, but we were super nervous to see how he would react to it (especially since he was only 3). Crystal and Scotty were thrilled also. They even had green shirts made for all of us that said "Logan's #1 Fan" with our names on the back. They were awesome! I have to admit the first couple of games were a little rough. He would be so excited to put on his uniform before the game, but once he got out there he would just be done. Finally by the third game Billy and I pretty much had it with trying to hold his hand because he didn't want to stand out in the field or bat so we just told him that we were going to go sit down and he could do whatever he wanted. Well I guess what he wanted was us to leave him alone because after that he was perfect. He listened to the coaches and was excited every inning. His favorite part was hitting, of course, but he also got a few grounders as well. Here are some pictures of his last game. You can tell by his smiles that he loved it! He is definitely playing again in the fall!

PS. He was the only one that had cool batting gloves thanks to Katie and Landin!! They were his favorite. He actually wore them to bed a couple of times with his baseball socks. :)

FIRST BATH!

Bailey's baby book (and mommy's blog) just wouldn't be complete without some shots of her first bath. She didn't mind it at first, but then she got a little chilly and then she got super ticked! I think she has her daddy's temper! :)

HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG ALREADY?!?!

Well I just realized that I had Bailey almost 2 months ago and still no new post or new pics to show off my little cutie. I finally got some pictures uploaded and I'm ready to introduce Bailey Kate to the world! But first, here is the short & sweet version of what has been going on for the last 8 weeks:

- Bailey was born on May 28th at 7:51am by csection. She weighted 10lbs. 10oz, 20ins. long with a head full of dark straight hair.

- She had to spend the first 3 days of her life in the NICU because she had some issues with her oxygen levels and blood pressure. We also found out while she was in there that she has a hole in one of her heart chambers, but nothing to be alarmed about. More than likely as she gets bigger the hole will close up by itself. You wouldn't even be able to tell that she had anything wrong with her now.

- I bounced back pretty quickly from my c-section, but in the long end would have much rather pushed her out.

- Logan adores his little sister and wants to give her hugs & kisses ALL the time!

- Billy finished up his summer internship and is finally working full time making a paycheck, but only for a few more weeks until he starts his second year of pharmacy school.

- I went back to work after 6 weeks of pretending to be a stay at home mom. All I have to say is that I have the utmost respect for women who stay at home with their children. I don't think I am cut out for that because I was excited to get back to work although I do miss going to the park with the kids!

- Logan and Bailey had to start a new daycare because our old one closed while I was on maternity leave. Luckily, Logan adjusted really well and loves it.

- We are moving again. :( This time we are staying put until Billy gets done with school and we buy a house. Only 2 more years! I can't even tell you how excited we are going to be to own our home!

That pretty much sums it up. I will be posting like crazy with new pics and happenings now since I got this first one done! Without further adieu...

IT'S OFFICIAL!

Bailey will be here on May 28th at 7:30 am. :) We have a c-section scheduled for next Thursday because she said NO WAY to flipping over. We are very excited, but also nervous mostly just because we have a HUGE list of things to do, but just not getting through it all quick enough! Logan is very excited also. He told me this morning that he didn't want to give her kisses when she got here, but he wants to give her hugs! And he also said that she was his best friend... that was enough to melt my heart! :)

UPDATE!

Well I went and had my 35 week ultrasound to get a good idea of how big this baby is going to be. When Logan was born, I think he shocked the doctor a little bit when he came out looking like a 3 month old (we knew he was going to be big, but not 10 1/2 lbs big) so he wanted to prepare himself this time around. No suprise, she is in the 90% and is pretty big. I was thrilled when they told me she has a lot of hair! I didn't even know they could tell that on an ultrasound, but sure enough you can see the outline of her head and then just tons of fuzz all around it. Too bad it wasn't in color so we could see if she was going to have red hair like Logan! Everything looked great and she is doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing except for the fact that she doesn't like to be upside down! Yep... she is breech and the fact that she is so big doesn't help her chances of flipping over since she just doesn't have too much room. From the very beginning, I always said I didn't want a C-section mostly just for the fact that I already pushed a 10 1/2 lber. out so might as well just keep doing that, but obviously I will go along with anything that is better for her. I see my doctor tomorrow to figure out a game plan! Keep your eye out for another update when I get one. :)

By the way, Billy and I decided on a name. I got to pick the first name and Billy picked the middle name. We are super excited to finally see what our little Bailey Kate Covington looks like! :)

MORE CAKE!

This past weekend was my good friend Nicole's little girl's 1st birthday. I was soo excited that she asked me to do the cake! Julia loves elephants so this is what I came up with. All the elephant figures and bows I made with fondant. Again, there are tons of things that I could've done better with, but they loved it! But I do have to admit, I am NOT doing any more cakes until after I have the baby. I am completely worn out now! :)
